Library, Research and Publications
Welcome to AUCA's Library. The library is regularly equipped by purchasing up-to-date books. Publications are revised upwards and according to specialties. The library is fully modernized by the computerization of its services.
Accessibility
The library is open to students and staff at working hours and late in the evening. However, any other person who wishes to use AUCA library may consult the works on site. The person coming to consult AUCA library will have to present an ID card or student card from other academic institutions.
Home loan
The home loan is only granted to AUCA students and staff upon presentation of student card or service card. The loan is granted for a period of one week, renewable upon presentation of books and is limited to a maximum of 3 volumes. Any beneficiary who fails to comply with the loan period will pay a fine for the delay and by volume. The amount of the penalty will be specified by the library committee. In case of loss or damage, the concerned should pay three times the price of the book. Otherwise, the library staff will prohibit access to the library, until the matter is settled.
Reserved books
Teachers are allowed to reserve the books for students specifically planned for a course. These books cannot leave the library. Students can consult them in the library and then handed out to library staff at counter.
Rules
- Silence is required and cell phones must be completely switched off.
- Bags, parcels, briefcases and other equipment are not allowed in the Library.
- At the exit, the reader must report to the library counter staff for a fast check.
- Books must not be annotated or highlighted.
- Reference books, journals, newspapers and preserved books should not be carried out of the Library.
- Borrowed books must be returned on time otherwise users will be fined.
Library Policy:
- Borrowing a maximum of 2 books (1 week period) - renewable
- Computer use - Internet Access (controlled)
